The Nomadic Artist Residency Spaces competition challenges designers to create mobile, self-sufficient artist residencies adaptable to various environments. Designs must integrate living spaces, studio areas, and community engagement zones while prioritizing transportability, sustainability, and cultural sensitivity.
Key Design Considerations:
– Portability: Trailers, modular systems, or collapsible structures.
– Eco-friendly Solutions: Solar energy, rainwater collection, and sustainable materials.
– Community Interaction: Opportunities for exhibitions, workshops, and engagement with local cultures.
Submission Requirements:
– 1x A1 Sheet (PDF, 150dpi, max 20MB)
– Optional 1-2 min Video
– Team Size: 1-3 individuals
The AIA Canada Student Design Awards Program recognizes outstanding students who demonstrate excellence in architectural design, a strong understanding of technical solutions, and the integration of sustainable and inclusive design concepts. This program provides students with an opportunity to showcase their skills on a national stage while gaining industry recognition.

Eligibility
The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in a post-secondary architectural or architectural technology program in Canada. Projects must be part of the school curriculum.

The proposed hospitality product should introduce innovation within hotel guestrooms, food and beverage offerings, amenity spaces, technology solutions, operational efficiencies, sustainability initiatives, guest experience enhancements, or other areas that redefine the future of hospitality.
In the submission process, submit the following attachments:
A compelling presentation (PPT or PDF) that effectively communicates the product concept, its significance, and the potential impact.
Detailed sketches, renderings, and/or a video of a 3D model illustrating the product.
In the application form, answer the following questions:
What is your product? Clearly articulate the unique features and functionalities.
Outline the technical aspects of the design, including materials, manufacturing processes, and technologies used.
What hospitality problem is it attempting to solve or how is it elevating the guest experience?
Provide an estimate of the timeframe required for successful implementation of your product in the marketplace and describe the path you will take.

What is your company/University name? If you graduated within the past year, please include the name of your University.

The College of Fellows invites individuals and teams to submit proposals for the 2025 Latrobe Prize.
The
2025 Latrobe Prize, awarded to a groundbreaking research proposal with
the potential to tackle significant challenges in architecture and the
built environment, will grant the recipient(s) $150,000 to fund a
comprehensive two-year research program.
The 2025 Latrobe Prize
will focus on architecture’s contributions to human health. Proposals
are sought that 1) demonstrate theoretical AND practical connections
between the built environment and human health, and 2) demonstrate how
architects are essential to facilitating changes to the built
environment to positively affect the health of communities. The deadline
to submit proposals is June 30, 2025.

Fellowship is AIA highest membership honor, recognizing members for

GUIDELINES
The allure of an exceptional architecture lies in its ability to inspire diverse interpretations. Therefore, there are no limitations regarding the determination of whether the intervention will be of low or high impact. Both approaches will be welcomed and assessed by the jury panel on equal basis.
Participants are welcome to propose any kind of modifications to the site. However, the preservation of the original architectural and artistic elements of Laguna Vere will be considered of utmost importance.
